This is an interesting turn of events. I—uhm—I’m Rick Castle. You might have heard of me before. I am a best selling novelist. You might even recognize me from the ruggedly handsome photo on the back of my books. I’m also a consultant with the NYPD and my partner…she’s going to be mighty upset when she finds out I’ve been kidnapped…

[He pauses again, considering the situation]

For once, yes. You're probably not going to believe half the crap I'm about to tell you. You're-- we're, uh, not exactly in Kansas anymore. This is the City, and it's pretty much every impossibility anyone's ever thought up, with no escape.

I can't get comfortable. I have a writing deadline to meet, a lunch with my editor, dinner with my agent and a charity event for Breast Cancer. Not to mention I have to be there to tell Alexis goodnight or she'll worry. Who do we pay to get out of here?
